AHPRA & NMBA Registration

AHPRA & NMBA: Become a Nurse in Australia

Australia is quickly emerging as a favorite destination for Nepali nurses. With a high demand for healthcare professionals, an excellent standard of living, and a welcoming visa system, it offers everything a nurse could hope for, and more. But to work as a nurse in Australia, you need to be registered with AHPRA under the guidance of NMBA.

Understanding AHPRA & NMBA

  • AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) is the organization responsible for managing registration of nurses and other healthcare workers.
  • NMBA (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia) sets the standards and policies for nursing practice.
Together, they determine whether an internationally educated nurse can practice in Australia.
